GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip; Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour; the domestic connecting flight purchased from Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest. If visa service and travel health insurance were used to apply for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services will have been used and therefore cannot be refunded. If a visa application has not been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be cancelled and the fee refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a provider other than Wtatil independently, they cannot claim any refund from Wtatil in the event that the trip is cancelled by Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance, at the time of purchasing the tour, any financial and moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, Wtatil has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour would be provided individually for the guest, the guide service included in the package will cover only the airport transfer for departure and return abroad.
Cancellation and changes
- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty up to 30 days before the tour departure date, provided that they notify Wtatil in writing, excluding plane tickets for which payment has been made and/or committed to the airline by Wtatil. If less than 31 days remain until the trip start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee after the airline ticket amount. If 15 days or less remain until the trip start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to the full tour fee. If cancellation is requested, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connections, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the requested cancellation period, so prior information should be requested regarding their refundability. Wtatil cannot undertake any commitment regarding the cancellation/refund of additional services.
Guiding Services and Optional Tours
- The days and times of the tours stated in the program may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums and sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany guests during the tours.
- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized to introduce the cities in general, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary and excluding entrance fees to museums and historical sites. If panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out because the relevant sites are not permitted to be visited or entered by local authorities on the day and time of the tour, or due to closed roads because of any event, or if it becomes impossible to conduct the tour due to weather conditions, Wtatil is not responsible for the inability to perform such tours. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot where possible due to closed roads or places where vehicle access is not allowed.
- Depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and whether museums and sites are closed, our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours. This also applies in case of changes that may occur in flight schedules.
- Important points to consider on our tours conducted with speed boats: do not eat a heavy meal or drink excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guide of their condition.
- If participation is not made in the tour or meal services included in the services section of the price, there will be no refund.
About Flights
- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in possible disputes, in addition to the relevant provisions of Turkish law, the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply.
- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger purchases the trip accepting the risk of changes/cancellation of flight times.
- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax fee.
- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight is cancelled by the airline.
- For those participating in air tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight at the relevant airline counters at the airport or online through the airline’s website.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced via loudspeakers at the airport and shown on information boards. Guests must follow this information themselves.
- Wtatil is not responsible for guests who do not arrive at the designated airport at the times specified in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete check-in and boarding on time, or who, despite completing check-in and boarding on time, do not board the plane. All expenses for obtaining new round-trip tickets and transfers in the destination area, etc., necessary for guests who miss the flight to join the tour, are their responsibility.
- The general baggage allowance on flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not Wtatil’s responsibility.
- For guests who wish to upgrade their flight tickets with miles (to business or first class); after the tickets are issued, the upgrade can be performed depending on the airline’s availability (please check the airline with which you are a member). No mileage guarantee is provided for each flight. Please check whether the program’s tickets are from an upgradeable class.
- On some airlines, food and beverage services and online check-in services may be subject to additional charges.
Other Matters
- Wtatil accepts no responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions shall apply.
- In cases where hotel names are not specified in the tour program and only category information is given and/or options are offered for the same destination, Wtatil will notify the guest 48 hours before departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at a greater distance than the stated locations or kilometers. In such a case, Wtatil will provide information 15 days before the departure date of the tour.
- During registration for the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/declare the name as shown in the passport, date of birth, and passport number in the system. Air tickets are issued according to this information. Penalties for cancellation or changes to air tickets resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- To use your mobile phone abroad, before leaving Turkey, please check with your service provider whether your phone is enabled for international use.
- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.
- Wtatil will inform the hotel of requests regarding the room (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type). Efforts are made to ensure the assigned rooms meet the guest’s preferences, depending on hotel availability. Fulfilling these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and for groups it may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.
- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined when necessary.
- Child and extra bed policies may vary according to each hotel and room type.
- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel.
- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 item maximum.
- In triple rooms, an extra bed arrangement is used; in such rooms, the bed allocated to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldable and coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the possible cramped conditions in the rooms and the bed type resulting from the extra beds added to standard rooms in triple and/or child-inclusive reservations.
- If the number of children staying with adults and the ages of the children stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. Hotels may request identification to verify children’s ages.
- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to a “single child” who falls within the age group eligible when staying with 2 adults.
- Daily exchange rate fluctuations are reflected in TL prices. The exchange rates at the time of payment apply. Your additional requests, some extra services you may receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the purchase price and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in force will be collected by the hotel from the guest upon entry or exit.
- Distances provided in the programs are map-based. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the country visited, road works, and road conditions.
- Wtatil may, when necessary or deemed appropriate, change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program.
- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs of the participants in the tour are their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for items forgotten/lost/stolen. In the event that forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person are the responsibility of the owner.
- Persons participating in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health issues, the relevant medications and medical reports with them.
- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit at check-in. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement.
Visa and Passport
- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens.
- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.
- In order for entry/exit stamps to be placed in your passport at customs/border crossings, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
- Being exempt from visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that entry to or exit from the country is guaranteed; the passport police have the authority to refuse entry or exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this; responsibility belongs to the passenger.
- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
- To avoid problems with customs police at the border crossing of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports, the passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.
- Since there is a possibility that police officers on entry/exit may request a document showing the mutual consent of the parents when our guests under 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, we recommend that minors under 18 and their parents be careful in this regard.
