GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The General Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered separately from it.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. Regarding the refund of additional services purchased outside the tour; the domestic connecting flight purchased from Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest. If a visa service or travel health insurance has been used to make a visa application on behalf of the guest, these services are considered used and cannot be refunded. If no visa application has been made, the visa and travel health insurance will be canceled and refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a provider independent of Wtatil, they cannot claim any refund from Wtatil if the tour is canceled by Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any financial and moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be operated individually for the guest, the guide service included in the package will only cover the round-trip overseas airport transfer.
Cancellation and Changes
- Our guests have the right to cancel free of charge up to 30 days before the tour departure date, provided they notify Wtatil in writing, excluding airline tickets for which payment has been made and/or commitments undertaken by Wtatil to the airline company. If there are fewer than 31 days remaining until the tour start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee after the airfare deduction; if there are 15 days or less remaining until the tour start date, they may cancel by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. If a cancellation is requested, since refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connections, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the cancellation period, information should be requested in advance regarding refunds. Wtatil cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation refunds of additional services.
Guidance Services and Optional Tours
- The days and times of the tours listed in the program may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums and historical sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours designed for general introduction to the cities, lasting a maximum of 2-3 hours, conducted from inside the vehicle with guide commentary and not including museum or site entrance fees. If panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out because local authorities do not allow visits or access on the relevant day and time, or due to closed roads because of any event, or if they become impossible due to weather conditions, Wtatil is not responsible for the inability to carry out these tours. In some cases, tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot where roads are closed or vehicle access is not permitted.
- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and the closure status of museums and historical sites. This also applies in cases of changes to flight times.
- Important points to note for tours conducted by speed boats: do not eat heavy food and do not drink excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guide of their condition.
- If participation is not made in the tours or meal services included in the price, there will be no refund.
About Flights
- Wtatil is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish law as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply.
- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger purchases the tour accepting the risk of changes/cancellation in flight times.
- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax.
- According to airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight will be canceled by the airline.
- For participants in air-inclusive tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight at the airport, at the relevant airline counters, or online through the airline’s website.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced via audio announcements at the airport and displayed on information boards. Guests must follow this information themselves.
- If guests do not arrive at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules, do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or complete check-in and boarding but do not board the aircraft, Wtatil is not responsible for their failure to take the flight. Any costs related to obtaining new round-trip tickets and transfers in the destination area, etc., required for missed flights in order to join the tour, shall be borne by the guest.
- For flights departing from Turkey, the standard baggage allowance is 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on those domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/fee rules are determined by the airlines and are not Wtatil’s responsibility.
- For guests wishing to upgrade their airline tickets using miles (to business or first class): after tickets are issued, upgrades may be possible depending on the availability of the airline (please check the airline of your membership). No mileage guarantee is provided for each flight. Please check whether the tickets in the program are in an upgradeable fare class.
- On some airlines, in-flight food and drink services and online check-in services may be subject to extra charges.
Other Matters
- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such a case, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions shall apply.
- Where hotel names are not specified in the tour program and only category information is provided and/or options are offered for the same destination, the hotel will be notified to the guest by Wtatil 48 hours before departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than those stated from the specified locations or km distances. In such a case, information will be provided by Wtatil 15 days before the departure date of the tour.
- At the time of booking the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/disclose the name as shown in the passport, date of birth, and passport number in the system. Airline tickets are issued based on this information. Penalty fees arising from cancellation or changes of airline tickets due to incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- To use your mobile phone abroad, please check with your service provider before leaving Turkey to ensure that your phone is enabled for international use.
- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.
- Requests related to the room made by Wtatil (high floor, near common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel. Efforts are made for the assigned rooms to match the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfilling these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast commonly known in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.
- In some cases, a double room may have a double bed instead of two separate beds. Many European hotels offer twin rooms that can be joined together when necessary.
- Child and extra bed policies may vary according to each hotel and room type.
- Any additional beds and baby cots are provided upon request and subject to the hotel’s availability and must be approved by the hotel.
- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 unit maximum.
- In triple rooms, an extra bed is used, and the bed allocated to the third person in such rooms is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldable or coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible cramped conditions in the room and the bed type caused by the extra bed added to the standard room in triple and/or child reservations.
- If the number and ages of children staying with adults, as stated in hotel reservations, are incorrectly declared by the guest, the relevant hotel may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify the age of children.
- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may be no separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only for a single child in the relevant age group staying with two adults.
- Daily exchange rate fluctuations are reflected in TL prices. The rates at the time of payment apply. Additional requests and some extra services obtained at the hotel (mini bar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the purchase price and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries have different local, city, or tourism tax practices. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in effect are collected by the hotel from the guest upon entry or exit.
- The travel distances provided in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and road conditions.
- In mandatory cases or when deemed necessary, Wtatil may change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used without altering the content of the program.
- Participants are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs, and Wtatil is not responsible for any forgotten/lost/stolen items. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the item.
- Participants of the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health problems, the relevant medication and medical reports with them.
- For possible extra expenses, upon hotel check-in, a photo ID/passport issued by official authorities and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is an arrangement between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement.
Visa and Passport
- There is no visa requirement for citizens of the Republic of Turkey.
- Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of travel.
- For customs crossings/border checkpoints, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages for entry/exit stamps to be placed.
- Being exempt from a visa for entry into the countries on this tour does not mean that you are guaranteed entry/exit; the passport police have the authority to refuse your entry to or exit from the country, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.
- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any consequences arising.
- To avoid problems with customs police at the border crossing of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.
- Since police officers at country entry/exit points may ask for a document showing the mutual consent of both parents when our guests under 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, we recommend that minors and their parents pay attention to this matter.
