DAY 1 ISTANBUL – NARITA
We meet our valued guests in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Terminal 3 hours before departure. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Narita on Turkish Airlines scheduled service. Overnight on the plane.
DAY 2 NARITA – TOKYO
After arrival, we depart for a panoramic Tokyo city tour. Our first stop on the tour is Senso-ji Temple, a historic temple completed in 645 and, according to legend, built by two brothers, with its giant entrance gate called “Kaminarimon.” Then we proceed to Nakamise Shopping Street, where we will have free time among beautiful souvenirs and street food. Guests who wish may join the optional Tokyo by Night Tour organized by our guide (55 EUR per person). We head to Shibuya, the center of Tokyo’s attractions. In this one of Tokyo’s most popular districts, the focus of fashion, entertainment, and shopping, we will visit the famous crossing, which is etched in our memories with its human crowd-like pedestrian crossing and lights. The intersection is decorated with neon lights and giant video advertisements, and when the traffic light turns green for pedestrians, the crossing fills with people, making it a great photo spot. We will also take a photo break in front of the Hachiko Statue and learn its story. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 3 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then give free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Tokyo Combined & Premium Outlet Tour organized by our guide (125 EUR per person) [Ueno Park & Akihabara Electric Town & East Garden & Shisui Premium Outlet]. Our first stop is Ueno Park, Japan’s most popular city park, where Sakura and Hanami celebrations take place and which receives more than 10 million visitors a year. Next is Akihabara, one of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods, known as the “Electric Town,” with street stalls and many different kinds of electronics shops. We allow time for shopping here. Our next stop is the East Garden of the Tokyo Imperial Palace. After a short walk here, our next destination is Ginza Street. After free time in Tokyo’s most famous luxury shopping, dining, and entertainment district, which hosts numerous shops, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and cafes, we continue our tour. After completing our visit here, our final stop of the day is… Following our visit here, there will be free time and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 4 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then give free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Hakone & Fuji Volcano & Lake Ashi Tour organized by our guide (160 EUR per person). We head to Hakone, about 2 hours from Tokyo, which will amaze you with its hot springs, natural beauty, and scenery. First, we stop in Oshino Hakkai village to enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji. Then our next stop is Owakudani, formed by the eruption of Mount Hakone about 3,000 years ago. With its sulfurous smoke and hot steam, Owakudani is still an active volcanic area today. After the tour, we head to Hakone town at the foot of Mount Fuji. There, we will enjoy a pleasant boat ride on Lake Ashi, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and closely witness the natural beauty of the town. After the boat trip, free time and return to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 5 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then give free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Kamakura & Traditional Japanese Tea with Bamboo Gardens Tour & Yokohama organized by our guide (150 EUR per person). Our first stop is the Kamakura Great Buddha, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This bronze statue, including its base, is 13.35 meters high and weighs approximately 93 tons, and is also of great importance in religious history. After seeing this masterpiece, which dates back to 1252 and was built during the Kamakura period, when feudalism began in Japan and the samurai emerged, we move on to Hokoku-ji Temple. This temple, which has an important place in Buddhism and is known for its bamboo gardens spread over an area of approximately 13,000 square meters, was founded by a monk named Tengan Eko to honor the ancestor of the Ashikaga clan. Known by the nickname “Take-dera,” meaning “Bamboo Temple,” this unique temple, formed by more than 2,000 bamboo plants, offers a short exploration. In the middle of our tour, we take a short break to drink traditional Japanese green tea. After our visit here, we head to Yokohama. After our city tour in this city, which is Japan’s second-largest city after Tokyo, we return to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 6 TOKYO – OSAKA
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Osaka by Shinkansen. Upon arrival in Osaka, we begin our panoramic Osaka city tour. Our tour includes Osaka Castle, a historic castle built in the 16th century and played a key role in the unification of Japan, and then we head to Umeda Sky Building, one of Osaka’s symbols. Located near Osaka and Umeda train stations, this impressive structure consists of two towers with a height of 173 meters. The towers are connected by a platform on the 39th floor called the “Floating Garden Observatory.” The observatory offers visitors unique views of Osaka, both from its glass-enclosed indoor area and open terrace. After the tour, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Osaka by Night Tour organized by our guide (50 EUR per person). The tour includes Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, the heart of shopping, and Namba Street, where restaurants are located. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 7 OSAKA
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then give free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Kyoto & Nara & Kobe Tour organized by our guide (180 EUR per person). We depart first for Nara. Our first stop is Todaiji Temple, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is one of the largest wooden structures in the country. Then, during our visit to Nara Park, we will have the opportunity to see deer roaming freely in the area. Founded in 1880, this park is also home to more than 1,200 wild Sika deer. We give free time at this point and then move on to Kyoto. We head to Kyoto, Japan’s former capital and one of its best-preserved cities, which was not bombed even during wartime. Upon arrival, we visit Kinkakuji Temple (the Golden Temple), built according to Zen beliefs and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After completing our tour, we head to Kobe. During our tour in Kobe, one of Japan’s ten largest cities, located between the sea and the Rokko Mountains and also considered one of Japan’s most attractive cities, we will see Kobe Port, Kitano Ijinkan Street, and the iconic Ferris wheel. Then we transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 8 OSAKA – ISTANBUL
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then give free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Osaka Shopping and Introduction to Japanese Culture with Geisha Tour organized by our guide (170 EUR per person). In the tour, first we will go to a center where, to get to know Japanese culture more closely, we will wear the local attire, Kimono, receive information about Japanese culture, and have the opportunity to taste the region’s high-quality tea. After this wonderful experience, we will go to central Osaka and give free time for shopping. Depending on the flight time, transfer to Kansai Airport. After baggage and check-in procedures are completed, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled service.
DAY 9 ISTANBUL
(ARRIVAL DAY IS 1 DAY AFTER THE DEPARTURE DATE)
