In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour price will be refunded to the guest. Regarding the refund of additional services purchased outside the tour; the domestic connecting flight purchased through Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest. If visa service and travel health insurance have been used to apply for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services cannot be refunded since they have been used. If no visa application has been made, the visa service and travel health insurance will also be cancelled and refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a provider independent of Wtatil, no refund may be claimed from Wtatil in the event the trip is cancelled by Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any financial or moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour at the time of purchase, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
- If sufficient participation is not reached for the trip, Wtatil has the right, as a gesture of goodwill, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be arranged individually for the guest, the included guidance service will only cover the round-trip airport transfer abroad.
Cancellation and Changes
- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty up to 30 days before the tour departure date, provided that they notify Wtatil in writing, excluding flight tickets paid to and/or committed to the airline by Wtatil. If there are 31 days or less remaining until the start date of the trip, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the tour price remaining after the airfare; if 15 days or less remain until the start date of the trip, they may cancel by paying the full tour price as a penalty. If a cancellation is requested, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connecting flights, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the requested cancellation period, so prior information should be requested regarding their refundability. Wtatil cannot provide any guarantee regarding the cancellation refund of additional services.
Guiding Services and Optional Tours
- The days and times of the tours stated in the program may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums and sites in the places to be visited and on weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours designed for general introduction of the cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically from the vehicle with guide commentary and excluding museum and site entrance fees. Wtatil is not responsible if panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out on the day and time indicated due to local authorities not permitting visits or entry, or due to closed roads because of any event; nor is Wtatil responsible if the tour cannot be conducted because weather conditions make it impossible. Some tours may, where possible, be conducted by public transport or on foot in areas with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted.
- Our guide may change the days of the city tour and/or additional tours depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and whether museums and sites are closed. This also applies to changes that may occur in flight schedules.
- Important points to consider on our tours conducted with Speed Boats: do not eat a heavy meal or drink too much water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition.
- If the tours or meal services indicated in the section of services included in the price are not used, no refund will be made.
About Flights
- Wtatil is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish law as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention will apply.
- Delays or flight schedule changes may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify such changes as soon as possible. The passenger purchases the trip accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellations.
- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax.
- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of a round-trip ticket is not used, the return flight is cancelled by the airline.
- For those participating in flights, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight at the airport, from the relevant airline counters or online through the airline’s website.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes during flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on information boards in the area. Guests must follow this information themselves.
- Wtatil is not responsible if guests do not arrive at the designated airport at the specified times in accordance with airline rules, or if they do not complete check-in and boarding on time, or if they complete check-in and boarding on time but do not board the plane. Guests who miss the plane are responsible for all costs related to obtaining new round-trip tickets needed to join the tour and transportation in the destination area, etc.
- The standard baggage allowance on flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/fee rules are determined by the airlines and are not Wtatil’s responsibility.
- Guests who wish to upgrade their tickets using miles (to business or first class) may do so after the tickets have been issued, depending on the availability of the airline (please check your membership airline). No mileage guarantee is given for each flight. Please check whether the program tickets are in an upgradeable class.
- In some airlines, food, beverages, and online check-in services may be subject to additional charges.
Other Matters
- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions will apply.
- In cases where hotel names are not specified in the tour program and only category information is provided and/or alternatives are offered for the same destination, the guest will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the stated locations or kilometers. In such a case, Wtatil will provide information 15 days before the departure date of the tour.
- At the time of registration for the purchased tour, the guest must enter/declare correctly in the system the name as stated in the passport, date of birth, and passport number. Airline tickets are issued according to this information. Penalties arising from cancellation or changes to flight tickets due to incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- To use your mobile phone abroad, please check before leaving Turkey whether your phone is enabled for international use by contacting the company your line belongs to.
- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.
- Wtatil will inform the hotel of room-related requests (high floor, near common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type). Efforts are made to ensure that the assigned rooms match the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfilling these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
- Breakfast offered in hotels differs from the rich breakfast commonly known in Turkish cuisine. Generally referred to as continental breakfast, it usually consists of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated for groups.
- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer twin rooms that can be joined if necessary.
- Child and extra bed policies may vary according to each hotel and room type.
- Any extra bed and baby cot are provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel.
- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in a room is 1 item at most.
- In triple rooms, an extra bed is used; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldaway and/or coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the possible cramped space in the room and the bed type resulting from extra beds added to standard rooms in triple room and/or child reservations.
- If the number and ages of children staying with adults stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by the guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. Hotels may request identification to verify children’s ages.
- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, the child may not have a separate bed. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to the “single child” age group staying with 2 adults.
- Daily exchange rate changes are reflected in prices in TL. The rates valid at the time of payment apply. Additional requests and some extra services you may receive at the hotel (mini-bar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the purchase price and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in effect are collected by the hotel from the guest upon entry or exit.
- Distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and road conditions.
- Wtatil may, when necessary or deemed appropriate, change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program.
- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, and passports/ID cards of the participants are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person are borne by the owner of the item.
- Participants in the tour are required to have their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health issues, the relevant medications and reports with them.
- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request at check-in an official photo ID/passport and a credit card or cash deposit. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is an issue between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement.
Visa and Passport
- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens.
- Guests must have passports valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.
- At customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages so that entry/exit stamps can be placed in it.
- Being exempt from a visa for the countries in this tour does not mean that entry to or exit from the country is guaranteed; the passport police have the authority to allow or refuse your entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.
- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will join the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
- In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gates of the countries to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.
- Since there is a possibility that police officers at country entry/exit may ask for a document showing the mutual consent of both parents when guests under 18 travel alone or with only one parent, we recommend that guests under 18 and their parents pay special attention to this matter.
