GENERAL TERMS
- The General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently from the tour program.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour: if the domestic connecting flight was purchased from Wtatil, it will also be refunded; if visa services and travel health insurance were used to apply for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services will have been used and therefore cannot be refunded to the guest. If a visa application has not been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled and the fee refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a provider other than Wtatil, then in the event the tour is canceled by Wtatil, the guest cannot request any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance, at the time of purchase, any material and moral losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour would be operated individually for the guest, the guide service included in the package will only cover the overseas arrival and departure airport transfers.
Cancellations and Changes
- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty up to 30 days before the tour departure date, provided they notify Wtatil in writing, excluding flight tickets that have been paid for and/or committed to the airline by Wtatil. If there are 31 days or fewer remaining until the tour start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee after the flight ticket cost. If there are 15 days or fewer remaining until the tour start date, they may cancel by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. In the event of a cancellation request, since the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connections, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the requested cancellation period, prior information should be requested regarding their refund status. Wtatil cannot undertake any commitment regarding the cancellation/refund of additional services.
Guidance Services and Optional Tours
- The days and times of the tours stated in the program may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums and sites at the destination and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting at most 2-3 hours, arranged to introduce the cities in general, conducted from the vehicle with guide commentary, and do not include entrance fees to museums or historical sites. If panoramic tours, including other tours stated in the program, cannot be carried out because local authorities do not permit visits or entry on the day and time of the tour, or because the tour cannot take place due to closed roads caused by any event, and likewise if weather conditions make the tour impossible, Wtatil is not responsible for the inability to operate such tours. Some tours may, where possible, be conducted by public transportation or on foot in areas with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.
- Our guide may make changes to the days of the city tour and/or additional tours depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and the closed status of museums and historical sites. This also applies in case of changes in flight times.
- Important points to consider on our tours conducted by speedboat: do not eat a heavy meal or drink excessive water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guide of their condition.
- If guests do not participate in any tour or meal service included in the price, there will be no refund.
About Flights
- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in possible disputes, in addition to the relevant provisions of Turkish law, the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention will apply.
- Delays or flight time changes may occur on scheduled and special flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the tour accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellations.
- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee.
- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets purchased as a return trip is not used, the return flight will be canceled by the airline.
- For those joining air-inclusive tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight at airports, at the relevant airline counters, or online via the airlines’ websites.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced via loudspeaker at airports and displayed on information boards in the terminal. Guests must follow this information themselves.
- If guests do not present themselves at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules, do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or complete them on time but do not board the plane, Wtatil is not responsible for their inability to take the flight. Guests who miss their flight are responsible for all costs related to obtaining new round-trip tickets required to join the tour and for transfers in the destination area.
- The general luggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.
- For guests wishing to upgrade their flight tickets using miles (to business or first class), upgrades can be made after the tickets are issued, subject to availability with the airline (check the airline of your membership). No mileage guarantee is provided for each flight. Please check whether the program’s tickets are in an upgradeable class.
- On some airlines, food and beverage services and online check-in may be subject to extra charges.
Other Matters
- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions will apply.
- Where the hotel(s) are not specified by name in the tour program and only category information is given and/or options are offered for the same destination, the guest will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances farther than those specified from the locations or kilometers indicated. In such a case, information will be provided by Wtatil 15 days before the departure date.
- When registering for the purchased tour, the guest must enter/declare the name as shown in the passport, date of birth, and passport number correctly in the system. Airline tickets are issued according to this information. Any penalties arising from cancellation or changes to airline tickets caused by incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- To use your mobile phone abroad, please check before leaving Turkey whether your phone is enabled for international use by contacting the company to which your line belongs.
- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.
- Requests related to the room made by Wtatil (high floor, near common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel. Efforts are made for the reserved rooms to match guests’ preferences according to the hotel’s availability. The fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast commonly known in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and for groups it may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.
- In some cases, a double room may have a double bed instead of two separate beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined if necessary.
- Child and extra bed policies may vary by hotel and room type.
- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to the hotel’s availability and must be approved by the hotel.
- The maximum capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in a room is 1.
- Triple rooms include an extra bed arrangement; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are folding beds or coach beds. Our guests, in triple room and/or child-inclusive reservations, are deemed to have accepted the possible lack of space in the room and the bed type due to the extra bed added to a standard room.
- If the number and ages of children staying with adults are incorrectly declared by our guests in hotel reservations, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify the child’s age.
- In reservations with 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child rates are valid only when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to a single child in the relevant age group staying with 2 adults.
- Daily exchange rate changes are reflected in TL prices. The exchange rates at the time of payment apply. Additional requests, and some extra services you receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.), are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the purchase price and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in effect are collected by the hotel from the guest upon entry or exit.
- The distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the country visited, road works, and road conditions.
- Wtatil may, in mandatory or necessary cases, change the order of cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program.
- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/ID cards of persons participating in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for items that are forgotten/lost/stolen. In cases where forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the item.
- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health issues, the relevant medication and reports with them.
- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit at check-in. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is an arrangement between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement.
Visa and Passport
- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens.
- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.
- For customs crossings/border checkpoints, in order for entry and exit stamps to be placed in your passport, there must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport.
- Being exempt from a visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that entry to or exit from the country is guaranteed; the passport police have the authority to refuse entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the traveler.
- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
- Passports that are torn, worn, wet, and/or damaged in a similar manner must be renewed in order to avoid problems with customs police at the border checkpoint of the country to be visited. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the traveler.
- Since for our guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father, the border police at entry/exit may request a document showing the mutual consent of both parents, our guests under 18 and their parents should be particularly careful about this.
